Skype!

Let’s video conference on Skype!  It’s unbelievably easy–and so fun.

All you have to do is go to the Skype website, download the free software, sign up and get a Skype name.  (Mine–surprise!–is KatherineCenter.)  Then we set a time and you “call” me then, and I sit at my kitchen table and chat with you through the video camera in my computer–possibly with a kid-handprint of spaghetti sauce on my shoulder–while my husband puts the kids to bed.  It’s win-win-win!  And every book club I’ve visited this way has been a blast.

   You have to Skype with Katherine. It is so much fun! She is hilarious! My book club talked to her for over an hour!

   Katherine, Brene Brown recommended that I contact you about a Women’s event coming up in Houston called Women Who Rock – The Tweaking Experiment. We invited a Houston woman to join us to be interviewed in front of the group (and you can promote your books, blog and anything else you choose to promote.) Karen Walrond was one of our interviewees and we approached Brene but she is already scheduled out of town. The event is here in Houston on Friday morning May 6th.
