100 things I am grateful for

It’s been that kind of summer.  The kind where it seemed like a good idea to make a list the things I am grateful for.  I set out to make a list of 100, and once I got going, it seemed it would be just as easy to list a thousand.

But I stuck with 100.  And then I made a video for the list: one day at my house this summer with my kids and my flip video.  Watching it, I’ve decided this video feels–and sounds–a lot like my life.

    Katherine,

What a BEAUTIFUL video essay! You’re quite the film maker :) Thanks so much for sharing! I will RT to all my tweeps because I thinks it’s so important to always be grateful! Especially as a writer!
Thanks again! Have a wonderful day!

AND i’m glad that you like cicadas too. i wrote my column this week on cicada killer wasps…because we have them…and i was sharing it with my friend who works for the DNR and he thought their sound is annoying/haunting. And I just love it!

Loving the inevitable possibility … of how each of those lovely, impossible moments yield to the next. Thank you for 100 more reasons to be grateful.

  6. Loved it. Does the fact that I want to rename it “100 Thing for Which I am Grateful” make me an editor?

  10. Your books were a welcome companion through the first months with my firstborn when I thought, am I the only mother out there who thinks this is the hardest thing by far? Here’s a video I made on motherhood that was inspired by your videos. http://vimeo.com/28597722
